We’re building a team to provide a meal once a month on Thursdays for 15 re:generation leaders. This is a great way to serve as a group or individually.

A re:generation mentor is a guide outside of the re:generation group who is granted authority by a participant to speak into his or her life for the sake of spiritual growth and recovery. The only requirements for mentorship are that the person must be a committed Christian of the same sex who has a biblical foundation for life and a clear understanding of the Gospel. This is a 12-month commitment.

- Ministry Team: re:generation
- Reports to: re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator
- Time Commitment: 2.5 hours per month
- Length of Commitment: 6-12 months
Purpose
The re:generation Kid’s Ministry Team Members are a vital role that helps lead our ministry to children of re:generation participants (nursery-5th grade) on Thursday nights at GPC-Chambersburg. They will help prepare and create a safe, positive, nurturing environment, while inspiring children to learn and have intentional conversations to help them develop an authentic faith. Part of the role also engages with parents of these children, reassuring them of their child’s care, and communicating if or when there are concerns or needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and loving environment for children with a team of other volunteer caregivers.
- Provide and lead in appropriate activities, snacks, conversations, care, and lessons when appropriate.
- Serve regularly to build consistency for the children (at least 1 -2 times per month.)
- Maintain communication with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator, parents, and re:generation Director as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be a follower of Jesus Christ committed to a growing relationship with Him.
- Must enjoy working with children and able to provide care for children’s needs.
- Must be able to communicate with team members effectively with appropriate technology.
Onboarding Plan
- Apply for or provide background clearances to the GPC office staff or Director of Adult Ministry.
- Meet with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator for training, coaching, and communication.
- Arrange with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator for serving schedule.

- Reports to: Director of Adult Ministry & Next Steps Coordinator
- Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours/week
- Length of Commitment: 1 year
Purpose
To support and provide opportunities for those seeking to take their next steps to know Christ personally, grow with Christ and others, and go with Christ to make a difference.
Responsibilities
- Serve at or in close connection with the Guest Services area at our weekend experiences to assist with next steps conversations (conversations involving salvation, theology, next steps, Circles, serving, or more).
- Help to host and facilitate NextSteps events (‘Get to Know Grand Point Church’, and ‘Learn to Grow & Go at GPC’).
- Follow-up with weekend conversations or NextSteps event participants to help them discern and take their next steps with Christ (providing resources or self-studies, connecting them to a pastor or department leader, finding or starting a Circle, applying to be a part of the Serve Family, or more).

Onboarding Plan
- Discuss your interest with your campus leadership and Director of Adult Ministry.
- Read and sign the GPC Leadership Covenant.
- Orientation and training conversations with the Director of Adult Ministry.
- Begin assisting at your campus with NextSteps display and NextSteps events.
- Ministry Team: Circles (Adult Ministry)
- Reports to: Campus Circles Coordinator and Director of Adult Ministry
- Time Commitment: 1-3 Hours per week
- Length of Commitment: 8-16 weeks [1 trimester at a time (Jan – April; May – Aug; Sep – Dec)]
Purpose
A Circles coach will help Circle leaders become better—better leaders, better followers of Jesus, and better humans.
Responsibilities
- Encourage Circle leaders spiritually and in their leadership journey.
- Connect with Circle leaders in your sphere of influence on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Get to know the leaders within your focus area, take a genuine interest in them, and build relationships that foster trust, authenticity, and care. Regular connection, consistency, affirmation, and prayer will be essential.
- Equip leaders with skills, goals, resources, or what they need to succeed.
- Take on the posture of ‘coming alongside’ our leaders to assist in accomplishing a task, launching a new group or initiative, or navigating a tough situation.
- Help leaders under your care to grow their Circle by answering questions, offering support, or locating resources.
- Empower leaders to reach their full potential.
- Keep an eye on the future especially in relation to leaders under your care. Help pull out the skills, gifts, and potential within your leaders. Just like any good coach of a sports team. You can help them become all they can be, develop new leaders under their influence, or unleash the hero-maker inside of them.
- Collaborate with the Circle coordinator for any needs, updates, or questions that will help your ministry and the ministry of Circle leaders.

Purpose
A Circle leader works to provide everyone the opportunity to pursue authentic community and spiritual growth by cultivating a healthy small group environment where people can connect relationally, converse intentionally, and care missionally for each other and our world.
Responsibilities
- Connect relationally with Circle participants, both in and outside group gatherings.
- Build genuine friendships both in and outside your group gatherings.
- Connect with Circle participants on a regular basis, especially those who miss gatherings.
- Answer questions and offer support or resources to Circle participants.
- Converse intentionally with participants, new potential recruits, and Circles leadership.
- Facilitate group conversations around the weekend messages, scriptures, lessons/curriculum, interests, or activities leveraged for spiritual conversations on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule.
- Promote your group with potential new members and your campus Circles leadership.
- Care missionally for participants and others in your group’s sphere of influence.
- Communicate with a Circle coach/coordinator at least once a month for any needs, updates, or questions.
- Search for opportunities to care for and serve those within your circle or an outreach in your community.

- Complete the Circle start-up form and discuss your Circle plan with a coach or coordinator. This should take place well in advance of the beginning of a trimester.
- Set a first meeting date, invite participants, and start gathering.
- Connect with your Circle coach or coordinator during the trimester.
