KidsPoint Check-in/Greeter – Greencastle

  • Ministry Team: KidsPoint
  • Reports to: Check-in/Welcome Desk Coordinator
  • Time Commitment: About 1-2 hours per week during the week, serving two Sundays per month.
  • Length of Commitment: 1 year

The Check-in/Greeter is a vital role that assists our KidsPoint serve team to create a welcoming and helpful first impression at our front desk and check-in areas. This volunteer will assist with providing information about our programming as well as basic information of our Church. They will administratively complete tasks, creating a safe, positive, nurturing check in process, while guiding families with appropriate resources needed for meaningful next steps within our children’s Ministry.


  • Collaborate with the Check-in/Welcome Desk Coordinator in curating & maintaining an organized check-in/welcome desk area. Show up with energy and a ready smile for our church families.
  • Facilitate the follow-up process for first-time parents.
  • Serve a minimum of twice a month, engaging in lessons as needed.
  • Help train new volunteers with engaging with children, interacting with parents, and performing Sunday duties.


  • Must be a follower of Jesus Christ committed to a growing relationship with Him.
  • Enthusiastic about Christ-centered ministry to children and excited to engage kids and their family.
  • Willingness to participate in training and receive certifications as needed.

Onboarding Plan

  • Have all appropriate Background clearances to engage with children (no older than 5 years)
  • Meet with the Director for a 2-hour training.
  • Shadow for 2 Sundays with one of our directors
