Lobby Host – Chambersburg

  • Ministry Team: Connections Team
  • Reports to: Executive Director of Advancement
  • Time Commitment: Ideally at least one service a month.  Service options are:
    • Saturday 5:15-7:15
    • Sunday: 7:30AM-9:25AM
    • Sunday: 9:25AM-10:50AM
    • Sunday: 10:50AM-12:30PM
  • Length of Commitment: 1 year


To create an atmosphere where every person who walks through the doors of Grand Point Church feels seen, known, loved, and valued.


  • Remain stationed near the center of the main lobby.
  • Search for new guests or those who appear to need some direction. Walk new guests to the Guest Services desk for their welcome bag.
  • Assist new guests in finding the café, kids point area, or other areas by walking them (no pointing!) to where they need to go.
  • Connect and escort guests with Guest Services to answer questions about groups, events, or serving.
  • Special events (communion, baptism, child dedication, Next Step weekends, etc.) – Be aware of what is happening within the church to properly answer any questions.
  • Do not huddle; be assessable to our guests.


  • You must like people!
  • Familiar with the building and ministry areas.
