Lobby Host – Chambersburg

The Lobby Host serves as a bridge between the entrance and the rest of the church experience. Many people entering the building—especially first-time guests—do not know where to go. We help them find direction and connection.

What we do:

• Remain stationed near the center of the main lobby.
• Actively engage with people in the lobby; don’t wait for them to come to you
• Identify new guests or uncertain individuals. Connect and escort them with Guest Services to answer questions about groups, events, or serving.
• Ask simple, welcoming questions such as: “What’s your name?”, “How long have you been coming to Grand Point?”
• Stay available and approachable at all times
• Offer prayer or encouragement when led by the Holy Spirit
• During busier moments, position yourself near the entrance to help identify and welcome people as they arrive. When necessary, assist with opening doors.
• Special events (communion, baptism, child dedication, Next Step weekends, etc.) – Be aware of what is happening within the church to properly answer any questions.
• Do not huddle; be assessable to our guests.

Time Commitment: Ideally at least one service a month.  Service options are:

• • Saturday 5:15-7:15
  • Sunday: 7:30AM-9:25AM
  • Sunday: 9:25AM-10:50AM
  • Sunday: 10:50AM-12:30PM

Qualifications

• You must like people!
• Familiar with the building and ministry areas.
