Local Outreach Team Leader

• Ministry Team: Missions
• Reports to: Executive Director of Advancement
• Time Commitment: 5-10 hours a month
• Length of Commitment: 1 year

Purpose

To provide vision and execution of Grand Point Church’s local outreach ministry within our local communities with the goal of sharing the love of Jesus through acts of service.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for the assigned campus.
• Serve on and attend a monthly Mission Team meeting.
• Build a relationship with an assigned ministry partner(s) supported by GPC.
• Schedule, plan, and execute outreach events in the community.
• Recruit team members to join your team to carry out the planned events.
• Create fundraising opportunities to support local outreach and projects.

Qualifications

• Must love God and love to serve people!
• Should be comfortable with acts of kindness and service in the community.
• Able to lead a team well and available to attend special events planned by the team.
• Have a general knowledgeable of the needs within the community and some community contacts.
• Be willing to participate in trainings, as needed.

Onboarding

• You will meet with the director for training. This will give you a strong overview of the role and the resources available for your reference.
