Missions Team – Chambersburg

• Ministry Team: Missions
• Reports to: Executive Director of Advancement
• Time Commitment: 3-5 hours a month
• Length of Commitment: 1 year

Purpose

To provide vision and execution of Grand Point Church’s local and global outreach ministry within our local communities with the goal of sharing the love of Jesus through acts of service.

Responsibilities

• Serve on and attend a monthly Mission’s Team meeting.
• Assist with details, processing, and possible delivery for current ministry partners and outreach projects (including but not limited to the Giving Tree, Shoeboxes, and Backpack Program.)
• Build a relationship with an assigned ministry partner(s) already supported by GPC.
• Recruit team members to join your team to carry out any planned events/activities.

Qualifications

• Must love God and love to serve people!
• Should be comfortable with acts of kindness and service in the community.
• Able to lead a team well and the have the availability to attend special events planned by the team.
• Have a general knowledge of the needs within the community and some community contacts.
• Be willing to participate in trainings, as needed.

• You will meet with the director for training. This will give you a strong overview of the role and the resources available for your reference.
