re:generation Kid’s Ministry Team Member

• Reports to: re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator
• Time Commitment: 2.5 hours per month
• Length of Commitment: 6-12 months

Purpose
The re:generation Kid’s Ministry Team Members are a vital role that helps lead our ministry to children of re:generation participants (nursery-5th grade) on Thursday nights at GPC-Chambersburg. They will help prepare and create a safe, positive, nurturing environment, while inspiring children to learn and have intentional conversations to help them develop an authentic faith. Part of the role also engages with parents of these children, reassuring them of their child’s care, and communicating if or when there are concerns or needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and loving environment for children with a team of other volunteer caregivers.
• Provide and lead in appropriate activities, snacks, conversations, care, and lessons when appropriate.
• Serve regularly to build consistency for the children (at least 1 -2 times per month.)
• Maintain communication with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator, parents, and re:generation Director as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ committed to a growing relationship with Him.
• Must enjoy working with children and able to provide care for children’s needs.
• Must be able to communicate with team members effectively with appropriate technology.

Onboarding Plan

• Apply for or provide background clearances to the GPC office staff or Director of Adult Ministry.
• Meet with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator for training, coaching, and communication.
• Arrange with re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator for serving schedule.
