re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator

Purpose
The re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator is a vital role that leads our ministry to children of re:generation participants (nursery – 5th grade) on Thursday nights at GPC-Chambersburg. They will recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer team members to ensure a consistent schedule for at least two kid’s ministry staff members per evening. The coordinator will work with team members to prepare and create a safe, positive, nurturing environment, while inspiring children to learn and have intentional conversations to help them develop an authentic faith. Part of the role will also engage with parents of these children, reassuring them of their child’s care, and communicating if or when there are concerns or needs. The re:generation Kid’s Ministry Coordinator will also communicate updates, schedules, and needs with the re:generation Coordinator/Director.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a monthly schedule of at least two re:generation Kid’s Ministry team members each week to provide a safe and loving environment for children.
• Provide and lead in appropriate activities, snacks, conversations, care, and lessons when appropriate.
• Serve regularly to build consistency for the children (at least 1 -2 times per month).
• Effectively recruit and train team members to serve.
• Maintain communication with team members, parents, and re:generation Coordinator/Director, as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a follower of Jesus Christ committed to a growing relationship with Him.
• Must enjoy working with children and able to provide care for children’s needs.
• Must be able to communicate with team members and re:generation staff effectively with appropriate technology.

Onboarding Plan

• Apply for or provide background clearances to GPC office staff or Director of Adult Ministries.
• Meet with re:generation Kid’s Ministry team for training, coaching, and communication.
• Arrange re:generation Kid’s Ministry team serving schedule.
