Video Switcher Operator – Shippensburg

• Reports to: Campus Pastor – Shippensburg
• Time Commitment:1 service on Sundays at 9am, 1-2 times per month
• Length of Commitment: 1 year

Purpose
Select clear and creative shots consistently, working with camera operators to convey compelling worship experiences.

Responsibilities

• Operate the video switcher for scheduled worship experience, calling shots and directing camera operators.
• Learn the video switcher and system equipment to be able to troubleshoot issues pertaining to video switching and camera operation.
• Know how to operate the camera, understanding how to adjust focus, zoom, iris, gain and small color corrections, as well as the specific role of the camera type being operated i.e. slider, front camera, etc.
• Understand the basic standards for getting a well framed shot, understand the principle of thirds, basic camera shots, and always follow the director’s instruction.
• Have a clear understanding of the order of service, as well as have an idea of important moments that need to be captured.

• Attend and operate video switcher for scheduled worship experiences.
